Rolex submariner date reference 116610LV, also known as "Hulk", is the Rolex submariner we all know and love (I always have dissidents), but with a green ceramic bezel and green dial. It offers a price advantage over the traditional black ceramic bezel and the "classic" Rolex Submariner 116610LN reference model with a black dial, and is also found in the interesting Pantheon of the Green Rolex watch, often used as a special anniversary souvenir for the brand. release.
Like many timepieces that I ended up very much like, the Green Dialing Rolex Submariner was not a timepiece that I immediately fell in love with when I first made my debut in 2010. I almost don't like it - especially since I'm pretty sure green is my favorite color - but I'm a bit contradictory about it. I believe that my idea at the time was that the black Submariner was very good, it was difficult to convince consumers to become green instead of black, or to ask them to urinate and buy both. I also want to note that although the green "Hulk" Rolex Submariner 116610LV is not a limited edition, it is not a type of watch that Rolex will always make. Its popularity keeps it productive, but Rolex can quietly stop production at any time without notice or reason.
Over the years, I have always admired the green Submariner, far away to see other watch lovers, celebrities, and even heard some people criticize it. The person I admire even calls it "not cool." At the time, please note that this person is wearing Rolex (retro Daytona on the Bund-style cuffs), so they are not hostile to the brand. I believe their reason is that, in their opinion, he met him when he wore the green dialing Rolex Submariner 116610LV, as if someone was "too hard". Trying too hard? Ok, maybe it stands out or is unique.
I agree that if this is why you buy this watch or any watch, then it is not cool. However, I do not agree that the Green Rolex submersible 116610LV is not a cool watch - it depends only on how you wear it. First of all, green is clearly the key color of Rolex because it is the main trademark of the brand. However, what I like is that Rolex likes to play a variety of different greens. This means that the various Green Rolex watches from the Daytona Watch to the President have different shades and green finishes. I personally think that if I have enough money, I would very much like to collect as many green dial-up Rolex watches as I can get my hands.
Another reason I added the Green Rolex Submersible 116610LV date to my series is that I already have another black-like modern Rolex submersible watch. However, this is not a Submariner Date, but a Rolex Submariner "No Date" reference 114060, which has a beautiful symmetrical dial. Therefore, there is no Rolex submariner date in my collection, so adding a green Rolex Submariner 116610LV does not feel too much.
